I am very happy to release "Big Peace"
my first release of 2024!
"Big Peace" features my dear friend David Sancious,
the inimitable and celebrated guru of soulful sound
magic, playing piano and keyboards and Jerry Marotta,
the inigmatic, exuberant master of deeply potent
music playing drums!
Peace seems so far from us in this world of war,
genocide greed, racism, classism and chaos. True
peace can only be acheived through truth, clarity,
transparency, love, and most of all justice.
I am so very grateful for you all, for your continued
support of my music. There's a lot more to come,
please stay tuned in. -Michael Gregory Jackson 1.1.24

I feel a madness,
but so much of it is to counteract the sadness
I see in so many faces,
as the life gives another day to me, I dance inside,
I stand to see the miracle, the spark, the blossoming heart,
I stand to see the miracle, the blossoming heart, oh and the spark,
let it start now, let it start small, let it touch you, let it touch us all,
and we’ll bring it everywhere we go,
big peace, big peace, big peace, we’ll bring it everywhere we go,
big peace, big peace, we’ll bring it everywhere we go,
big peace, big peace, big peace, big peace, big peace,
sometimes I feel a quiet, a break in all the noise,
some kind of confirmation, that there's so much more that will be,
as the heart sends another tear to my mind, I cry inside,
I stand to clear the wake of so much pain,
I stand to clear the wake of so much pain,
let it start now, let it start small, let it touch you, let it touch us all,
and we’ll bring it everywhere we go,
big peace, we’ll bring it everywhere we go,
big peace, we’ll bring it everywhere we go,
big peace, peace, we’ll bring it everywhere we go,
we’ll bring it everywhere we go,
and we’ll bring it everywhere we go,
big peace, we’ll bring it everywhere we go,
the big peace, we’ll bring it everywhere we go

Murray, and Wadada Leo Smith, he quietly laid the groundwork for much of what we take for granted in the contemporary jazz-guitar vocabulary." National Sawdust NY
